In the past NNO has waived the 75% rule (needing 75% of neighbors
to sign for a street closure). However, this year it has changed;
* 75% of the neighbors on the block must agree before a street can be closed for
NNO. The applicant doesn’t have to get signatures, but must have the names and street
numbers of the people who support the closing when completing the online application
in order to be approved.
* NNO organizers who are approved for street closure will be mailed warning tape
and signs. In most cases, these items will be mailed as part of a packet with any
requested items such as door hangers, name tags, child ID kits, Park at MOA tickets, etc.
Generally, barricades won’t be used to close residential streets.
Remember, if you
register
by July 24, you’re eligible to win a door prize.
